Research Progress on Insect Resistance to Pesticides and Development of New Pesticides

Insecticide resistance is an inherited characteristic involving changes in one or more insect gene. Its genome sequences can be determined by using molecular basis, then confirm its resistance. This paper reviews what is currently known about insecticide resistance mechanisms (target site and metabolic) and discusses the new pesticide research direction.
