The diagnosis therapy and follow-up for the congenital hypothyroidism in ten years retrospect

Objective:To study the significance and the problem existent of screening、diagnosis、therapy and follow-up of congenital hypothyroidism.Methods: The clinical data from Foshan neonate disease screening center of 201 children with congenital hypothyroidism was reviewed.Results: Neonate disease screening was the best way of early diagnosis of congenital hypothyroidism;the incipient dosage of therapy of temporary congenital hypothyroidism and the time of with drawal was to be further investigated.Conclusion: Early substituted therapy of thyroxinic and consummate follow-up of special course of study could guarantee that the 95% of children with congenital hypothyroidism possesed normal intellectual development.
