Operation Recovery of Segmental Defect on Nose

Objective To study the recovery/repairing methods of segmental defect in different conditions. Methods We have 11 patients,8 males and 3 females,and the average age is 49.6.There are 8 nose defect patients because of surgical trauma,amang them there are 2 patients of nose defect on wings of nose,3 patients on tip of nose,1 patient on back of nose and 2 patients having a large area of nose defect.There are other 2 patients repairing the wings of the nose with the skin flap on anterior wall because of basal cell carcinoma,1 parient having recovery of segmental defect after operation of tumer on back of nose.There are many curing metheds such as reconstruction nose with transposition of flap from frontal patr,repairing nose defect with bilobate leaf from cheeks,repairing defect on tip of nose with dissociate skin flap and with leather hose from the upper arm.Results After 3-7 year following observation,we are satisfied with the shape of nose repairing skin flap.The colour and lustre of skin flap from frontal part and cheeks in similer to the nose,while the leather hose from the upper arm is a little pale and dissociate skin flap is gloomy because of pigmentation. Conclusions We should select different restoration methods according to different conditions of patients,which will do good to recovery of patients and increase the quality of life.
