Biochemical tests supported these findings by showing increased antioxidant enzyme activity, reduced lipid peroxidation, and a noticeable rise in dopamine levels in brain tissue. A histopathological study showed improved neuronal regeneration for the SH-LP3-MNP formulation. Through these findings, it was reported that the SH-LP3-MNP formulation is a promising approach for delivering liposomes loaded with selegiline through the skin for the treatment of Parkinson's disease symptoms.
