Intermediate bands and p-orbital tuning of the band structure of BiFeO3 for photovoltaic application

Tuning intermediate bands and p orbital can significantly reduce the band gap and increase the optical absorption coefficient of BiFeO 3 , while BiFeO 3− x N x compounds maintain good ferroelectricity.
