摘要
Objective
To systematically evaluate and convergently analyze the effects of carbohydrates taken orally before surgery on patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Methods
English databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, EMBASE and MEDLINE, and Chinese databases including SinoMed (CBM) , Wanfang, CNKI, and VIP were searched using subject words and free words in combination with manual searching for articles published up to 30th May, 2019. The keywords used were (laparoscopic/cholecystectomy/laparoscopic cholecystectomy) AND (carbohydrates/CHO/glucose/fasting and water deprivation/placebo/randomized controlled trial/random) . After two researchers independently screened the articles, extracted the data, and evaluated the quality of the included studies, Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan5.3.
Results
A total of 8 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included. Meta-analysis results showed that there were significant differences in nausea, vomiting and blood glucose levels between the oral carbohydrate group and the fast drink group and the placebo group (P 0.05) .
Conclusions
Based on the results of this study, carbohydrates taken orally before surgery can reduce the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and maintain stable blood glucose levels, but further research is needed to verify their effect on changes in insulin levels.
