Preparation and preformance evaluation of maleic anhydride-acryamide scale inhibitor

Using ammonium persulfate as initiator,maleic anhydride and acrylamide as monomer,scale inhibitor is prepared by aqueous solution polymerization.The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows: mass ratio of maleic anhydride/acrylamide=1 ∶ 1.5,the adding amount of monomers is 15%,initiator usage is 7% of total monomers,reaction temperature is 60 ℃,and reaction time is 6 h.Under these conditions,the synthesis of scale inhibitor,when the amount of 10 mg/L,the scale inhibition rate is 95%.
