Heats of adsorption on H-mordenite(HM DFC-1)and catalytic activity of toluene disproportionation had been investigated by combining poison method and pulse chromatography technique. The isosteric heats of benzene, toluene and xylene on mordenite were measured. Since both irreversible and reversible adsorption sites for ammonia are existed on H-mordenites, the heats of adsorption of benzene, toluene and xylene on the two sites were obtained respectively. Plots of isosteric heats of toluene and catalytic activity for disproportionation reaction of toluene against varying adsorption amount of pyridine were given. Results have been preliminarily discussed.
