[Perspectives and strategic approaches on unmet therapeutic needs in systemic lupus erythematosus].

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a severe autoimmune disease with an incompletely elucidated pathogenesis and multi-organ damage, imposing substantial health and economic burdens on patients. Current treatments exhibit significant unmet needs in disease remission, flare and long-term prognosis. Insufficient adoption of treat-to-target (T2T) strategy, overreliance on glucocorticoids, limited application of innovative therapies such as biological agents, and a lack of precision medicine approaches collectively represent the core challenges in optimizing SLE management in China. This article systematically analyzes the unmet needs in the treatment of SLE in China and proposes a series of recommendations about treat-to-target strategies, aiming to provide references for clinical practice management.
