Evaluation of Digital Tour Guide TECHNOLOGY and Applications by Professional Tourist Guides

This study aims to reveal the evaluation of digital tour guide technology and applications used in the tourism industry in terms of tour quality, visitor-digital guide interaction, and professional concerns of tourist guides. The data were collected from 14 professional tourist guides working in travel agencies that organize tours to Istanbul Topkapi Palace Museum, Istanbul Hagia Sophia Museum, Istanbul Archeology Museum, and Istanbul Chora Museum in Istanbul, Turkey. As a result, it has been determined that digital tour guide technology and applications cannot replace human guides but create professional concern for professional tourist guides.
