Poly[[diaquazinc(II)]-μ2-4,4′-bipyridine-κ2 N:N′-μ2-p-phenylenebis(oxyacetato)-κ2 O:O′]

The title compound, [Zn II (C 8 H 8 O 6 )(C 8 H 8 N 2 )(H 2 O) 2 ] n , contains a Zn atom coordinated by 4,4′-bipyridine, benzene-1,4-dioxydiacetate and two water molecules. The Zn atom lies on an inversion centre and the benzene-1,4-dioxydiacetate and 4,4-bipyridine ligands lie about other inversion centres.
