Trichostasis spinulosa

Trichostasis spinulosa is an uncommon follicular disorder that may be underrecognized in young adults, particularly when lesions occur on the trunk rather than with the more typical facial distribution. The pruritic variant is relatively rare. Our case highlights the value of dermoscopy as a rapid, noninvasive diagnostic tool that can obviate the need for biopsy.
