Factors influencing consignment system at PT Batara Indah

Consignment transaction is becoming a trend as an alternative selling tool used mostly by the manufacture companies. Unfortunately, there are some disadvantages and problems faced by the consignor, who is as the manufacturer of the goods, especially when dealing with the consignment system. PT Batara Indah, as the office stationery supplier also felt those difficult conditions, since the company implemented the consignment transaction in one of their selling method. That is why; this final assignment report will analyze which factors that will influence a good consignment system for PT Batara Indah. Moreover, up until now, there is not any further research discussing about the influential factors for consignment system. Thus, the writer will combine from any kind sources of theories and related journal to construct the factors. Methodology of this research is asymmetrical causal studies by using multiple linear regressions in SPSS statistical tools. The writer did internal survey by distributing questionnaire and conducting interview with PT Batara Indah?s staffs related in consignment system. After analyzing all the data, interestingly the result showed insignificant regression result. This condition happened because there are several errors in the respondents. Thus, in the discussion of the result, the writer focused on analyzing the possible causes of those errors, which are regarding values and cultures within people in the company.
