In this paper the full scale electrolytic production test of low-titanium aluminum alloy is conducted. The effect of TiO2 added into electrolyte on electrolytic process parameters and current efficiency are analyzed. The results show that the electrolytic process parameters and current efficiency of low-titanium aluminum alloy almost keep the same as that of the pure aluminum when added a small amount of TiO2 into electrolyte. The Ti-content in alloy is stable and the absorbability of titanium is higher. The grain size obviously decreases with raising titanium in alloy. It is feasible to produce low-titanium aluminum alloy by electrolytic process.
