Determination of the Contents of Camphor and Menthol in Compound Menthol Nose Drops by GC-MS

OBJECTIVE:To determine the camphor and menthol in compound menthol nose drops by GC-MS.METHODS:Camphor and menthol were determined by GC-MS with SIM mode andβ-naphthol was selected as the inˉternal standard.RESULTS:The calibration curves of camphor and menthol were linear in the ranges of1.04～10.40μg/ml(r=0.9998)and0.824～8.24μg/ml(r=0.9999)and the recoveries were101.2%and99.98%respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is quick,accurate and also suitable for quality control of the preparation.
