摘要
Abstract By reduction of silver halogenides with hydrogen according to Brenner's method, silver whiskers were grown. Their investigation by contemporary techniques suggests that the driving force for their growth is the strongly enhanced capillary pressure in the silver halogenide droplets at the tip of the whiskers, leading to accelerated decomposition of this salt.
