Objective:To explore whether the receptor for advanced glycation endproducts(RAGE)is associated with the occurrence of endometrial carcinoma and further analyze the possible mechanism.Methods:The endometrial carcinoma specimens were collected.The RAGE expression and microvessel density in endometrial carcinoma tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry,and their relation was analyzed.RAGE protein expression levels in the non -cancerized endometrium and endometrial carcinoma tissues were analyzed with the image analysis system and presen-ted RAGE expression level with IOD.Results:Compared with normal endometrial tissues group,the significantly high expression of RAGE was found in endometrial carcinoma tissues(P <0.01 ),and RAGE expression level in the high -grade malignant cancer tissues was markedly greater than that in the low -grade malignant cancer tissues(P <0.05). The expression level of RAGE in endometrial carcinoma tissues was positively correlated with microvessel density. Conclusion:RAGE is highly expressed in endometrial carcinoma patients and associated with the occurrence and an-giogenesis of endometrial carcinoma.
