The Curative Effect Observation of Decoction of Xiong-zhi-shi-gao and Decoction of Tao-hong-si-wu on Migraine,A Report of 42 Cases

Objective: To observe the curative effect of TCM medicine on migraine. Method: 42 cases in the treatment group suffered from migraine were treated by Decoction of Xiong-zhi-shi-gao and Decoction of Tao-hong-si-wu. 39 cases in the control group were treated by western medicine only. Result: In the treatment group 18 cases were healed,22 cases were effective,and 2 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 95.2%. And in the control group 8 cases were healed,21 cases were effective,and 10 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 74.4%. The difference between the two groups was significant(P0.01). Conclusion: The curative effect of method of clearing liver to activate meridians on migraine is reliable and satisfying.
