Study on a novel 1D Halbach permanent magnet array based on the analysis of the side shape of permanent magnets

摘要
Halbach permanent magnet arrays are receiving increasing attention due to the unidirectional magnetic field enhancement and excellent magnetic field characteristics. The side shape of permanent magnets is analyzed. The magnetic field can be improved base on the analysis. Taking the length of permanent magnet as variable, a magnetic flux density model is derived. Then a new permanent magnet array is designed to reduce higher harmonics. The changing pattern of the side shape is obtained for the permanent magnet. The finite element model proves that the new permanent magnet array can effectively reduce the higher harmonics of the magnetic field.
