Crystallization induced enhanced emission in conformational polymorphs of a rotationally flexible molecule

The crystallization of weakly fluorescent 4-amino-2,2′-bipyridine (AMBPY) in solution phase under ambient conditions afforded three conformational polymorphs possessing enhanced emission.
