摘要
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics in construction safety monitoring has the potential to revolutionize the industry by significantly reducing workplace accidents and enhancing overall site safety. This study explores the current applications, benefits, and challenges of AI and robotics in construction safety. Utilizing real-time data from sensors, cameras, and wearable devices, AI-powered systems can assess safety threats, predict accidents, and optimize resource allocation. Robotics technology complements these efforts by automating hazardous tasks and augmenting human capabilities. Through a comprehensive literature review and an anonymous online survey of construction professionals, this research provides valuable insights into the practical realities and stakeholder perspectives on these technologies. Ethical considerations, data privacy, algorithm accuracy, and labor upskilling are also examined to ensure a holistic discussion. The findings highlight the importance of strategic implementation and stakeholder collaboration in leveraging AI and robotics to advance construction safety. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on technological innovation in construction, advocating for a safer and more efficient industry.
