摘要
We demonstrated a facile synthesis of carbon-doped g-C3N4 (donated as C-CN) photocatalyst for hydrogen evolution. The obtained C-CN photocatalyst showed a H2 production rate of 40.37 μmolh−1 under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm), which is about 2.9 times of that over bare CN. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of C-CN can be ascribed to enhanced visible light adsorption and improved charge carrier separation, which is probably resulted from the delocalized π bonds generated after C doping. It is anticipated that our work could provide a feasible way to improve the photocatalytic performance of CN.
