Structure and electrochemical performances of Al-doped nickel hydroxide

The Al-doped nickel hydroxide was prepared by chemical co-precipitating method.The structures of the compounds were characterized by XDR.The electrochemical properties were tested with cyclic voltammograms(CV).The charging/discharging perfomances of Zn/Ni experimental batteres,with Aldoped nickel hydroxide as the positive electrode active,were measured.The results show that the Al-doped nickel hydroxide is alpha type Ni(OH)_2,and exhibited a excellent electrochemical performances,such as reversibility and electrochemical cyclic characters.The specific discharge capacity is 130.1% of 250~(th)charge/discharge cycle and its highest discharge special capacity is 420.5mAh/g.
