The early hydration characteristics of a complex binder containing steel slag under high temperature curing was studied by determining the non-evaporable water content,observing the micro appearance,X-ray diffraction and pore analysis. The results show that the dormant period of the complex binder is significently shortened and the early reaction rate is accelerated with high temperature curing.The hydration of both the cement and the steel slag is accelerated when they are cured at high temperatures and,therefore,the hydration of the complex binder is elevated by high temperature curing.High temperature curing improves the pore structure formed in the early hydration period and reduces the porosity and the coarse pores in the complex binder paste,but has little influence on the hydration products.
