Echinothrips americanus (Morgan), Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande), western flower thrips, and Thrips tabaci Lindeman, onion thrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae).

This chapter focuses on Echinothrips americanus, western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis) and onion thrips (Thrips tabaci) occurring on greenhouse crops (e.g. cucumber, pepper, poinsettia and tomato) in Canada, and provides an overview of the biological control agents (predators and entomogenous fungi) that have been used to date for their management, and the evaluation of effectiveness of their biological control agents. Future research prospects are recommended.
