Advances on isolated nocturnal hypoxemia in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Nocturnal hypoxemia is common in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),especially at the time of rapid eye movement.Nocturnal oxygen desaturation is not only occur in patients with marked daytime hypoxemia (daytime PaO2 ≤55 mmHg),but also occur in these patients with mild or modest daytime hypoxemia.The lattle ones are usually called isolated nocturnal hypoxemia,this review introduces the advance of isolated nocturnal hypoxemia in COPD patients.
