Analysis of the chemical components of volatile oil from different parts of Artemsia dracunculus L with GC-MS

Objective To determine the chemical components and relative content of volatile oil from different parts of Artemsia dracunculus L.Methods Volatile oil was extracted from different parts of Artemsia dracunculus L with the method of steam distillation.Quantitative analysis was made with area normalization,the main components were analyzed with GC-MS,and the configuration of the separated compounds was analyzed combined with the mass spectrogram bank of computer retrieval technology.Results Among the 23 retrieved components of volatile oil in Artemsia dracunculus L leaves,anethole accounted for 80.80% and β-ocimene accounted for 12.93%.A total of 21 components of volatile oil in Artemsia dracunculus L stems were retrieved.The main components were anethole,which accounted for 78.49%,and β-ocimene,which accounted for 12.82%.Conclusion The components of volatile oil in Artemsia dracunculus L leaf and stem are basically the same;therefore,they may not be extracted separately.
