Mechanism for the extracts from flower of Pueraria lobata to inhibit alcoholism

Objective:To elucidate the mechanism for the extracts from flower of Pueraria lobata to inhibit alcoholism in order to provide the basis on new medicine.Methods:Compared the effect of the extracts of Pueraria lobata flower and an agent Anti-alcoholic Liver capsule on the activities of ADH,ALDH,SOD and GSH-PX in liver homogenate.Results:The extracts of Pueraria lobata flower can markedly increase the activities of ADH,ALDH,SOD and GSH-PX.Conclusion:The extracts from flower of Pueraria lobata can markedly enhance the activities of ADH,ALDH,SOD and GSH-PX to against alcohol-induced liver injury.
