摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a broad term used in computer science that describes the ability of machines to mimic the human mind and a series of data processing techniques outlined for sensing, understanding, and reasoning. AI is being incorporated into conveying, healthcare, education, low-income communities, protection and security, and entertainment. But in the healthcare sector, it has shown immense growth. AI in healthcare would introduce technologies that would connect expert doctors to the medical system and allow them frequent monitoring of the patient’s health. According to Acumen Research, the global market for AI in the medical sector is predicted to reach US$8 billion by 2026. AI enables the development of smart machines that improve the quality, availability, and reliability of healthcare while offering completely new capabilities by incorporating the healthcare sector into Healthcare 4.0. The primary goal of AI is to offer better, more valuable, and cost-effective healthcare services by enhancing effectiveness and efficiency. This chapter is splintered into sections. The first section is a brief introduction along with its subfields, and the second discusses its related work in medicine. The other additional section is a discussion on how AI can help with healthcare problems and challenges arising from current social structures, opportunities, and challenges, and also discusses Healthcare 4.0.
