In a 4T1 tumor-bearing mouse model, this extrinsic enzyme-activated fluorescence system produced high-contrast tumor imaging. These results indicate that this external enzyme-activatable probe can minimize nonspecific activation, thereby improving the accuracy of tumor imaging.
