A thermostable terbium(iii) complex with high fluorescence quantum yields

A fan-shaped complex (C 6 H 16 N) 3 [Tb 2 (Hsal) 3 (NO 3 ) 6 ] (1) was obtained and characterized. High luminescence quantum yields of 90%/78%/53% and lifetimes of 1.71/1.72/1.71 ms were obtained at room temperature/80 °C/180 °C, respectively.
