Treatment of Dieulafay′ disease by mental clips under endoscope

[Objective] To investigate the haemostatic effect of metal clips on Dieulafay′ disease under endoscope. [Method] Under the electronic gastroscope, the Olympus metal clamps (MD 850) were used to stop bleeding in 30 cases of Dieulafay′s disease, 1∶10000 adrenaline saline was locally injected in 30 Dieulafay cases as controls. The treatment efficacies on the two groups were compared. [Results] The rate of immediate haemostasis was not obviously different in the two groups. The re-bleeding rate and surgical operation rate of the treatment group were remarkably lower than those of the control group. [Conclusion] Haemostasis by mental clamps under endoscope is an effective method for the treatment of Dieulafay′ disease.
