Research advances and forecast of renal cell carcinoma

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common urological malignant carcinoma, also the most popular subtype of renal tumors. In the early stage of RCC, patients always have less clinical symptoms, which leads to the poor prognosis. Renal carcinogenesis is involved in the cytogenetic and molecular alterations. What's more, the understanding of RCC was improved since the development and the application of the molecular biology and genomics experimental technique, including the pathogenesis and etiology, targeted therapeutic strategies and prognostic factors of RCC. The goal of this review is to overview the research advances of renal tumors. Key words: Renal cell carcinoma; Therapeutic strategy
