Flow visualization around a cylinder in a two-phase channel flow using particle image velocimetry

The main objective of this study is to study two phase flow in cylinders using particle image velocimetry (PIV). This study shows that a two-phase bubbly flow around a cylinder in a channel can be effectively studied using the PIV flow visualization technique. The PIV technique captures both the qualitative and quantitative information about the flow field and can be used to study the structure of two-phase flows.
