Finite element simulation and experimental analysis on the spring-back after bending of 1Cr18Ni9Ti pipe

The finite element analysis on the bending process of 1Cr18Ni9Ti pipe was carried out on the basis of large amounts of pipes' bending tests.The FEM calculation results proved correct on the whole.Experiment and study indicate that 1Cr18Ni9Ti pipe tends to spring back seriously after deformation.The springback angle becomes larger with the increase of the bending angle and bending radius,and slightly gets smaller with the increase of relative wall thickness.
