There are breakdown with mine hoist drum during working such as both vertical and axis crack,radial crack and some other faults.Aiming at those problems,the structural static and fatigue strength of mine hoist drum is carried out by using the method of finite element.The load and constrain are added according to actual conditions.The drum experienced 1 000 000 times cycle under norminal stress,and 1 000 000 times cycle under 2 times the norminal stress.The figures about stress distribution,strength safety coefficient,fatigue safety and fatigue life are drawn according to calculation.These figures shows the duration that drum can withstand before crack show up.
