The presentworkisdedicatedtotheexperimentalandnumericalstudyofthebucklingbehaviourunderpure\ncompression ofcarbonepoxyadhesively-bondedscarfrepairs,withscarfanglesvaryingfrom2to45.\nThe experimentalresultswereusedtovalidateanumericalmethodologyusingtheFiniteElementMethod\nand amixed-modecohesivedamagemodelimplementedintheABAQUS® software.Theadhesivelayer\nwassimulatedusingcohesiveelementswithtrapezoidaltractionseparationlawsinpuremodesIandIIto\naccount fortheductilityoftheadhesiveused.ThecohesivelawsinpuremodesIandIIweredetermined\nwith DoubleCantileverBeamandEnd-NotchedFlexuretests,respectively,usinganinversemethod.Since\nin theexperimentsinterlaminarandtransverseintralaminarfailuresalsooccurred,cohesivelawstosimulate\nthese failuremodeswerealsoobtainedexperimentallyfollowingasimilarprocedure.Goodcorrelations\nwere foundbetweenthenumericalpredictionsandexperimentalresultsfortheelasticstiffness,maximum\nload andthecorrespondingdisplacement,plateaudisplacementandfailuremodeoftherepairs.
