Prediction of Transmission Loss Considering Uncertainties of Dielectric Properties in Millimeter Waveband

Prediction of loss or loss estimation is essential for estimating the performance of the circuits in the millimeter waveband. As an example, this paper shows the prediction of the transmission loss of the LTCC post-wall numerically and experimentally at 60 GHz band. The measured uncertainties of the dielectric properties of the LTCC have been considered in the loss estimation. The transmission loss of the waveguide has been quantitatively predicted with the associated confidence intervals in the millimeter wave.
