摘要
The influence of sodium-hexametaphosphate on the surface property of serpentine is investigated by determination of infrared spectrum, dispersion degree,ζ potential and adsorptive capacity. The dispersive action of sodium hexametaphosphate on serpentive is explained using the DLVO theory. The results indicate that the adsorptive capacity of sodium hexametaphosphate on the surface of serpentine is small, but it is enough to raise the absolute value of serpentine's surface potential and the electrostatic repulsive energy, because sodium hexametaphosphate is micromolecular compound. This is the main action form in which sodium hexametaphosphate disperses serpentine.
