Study on Regeneration Sciatic Nerve of Rats Detected by Motor Nerve Conduction Velocity

Objective: To observe the impaction of vitamins on the nerve growth by motor nerve conduction velocity after sciatic totally cut off.Methods: All of twenty SD rats were randomly divided into control group and vitamin therapy group.Electric stimuli were performed to the distal and proximal sciatic nerve trunks and analyzed at the sixth、tenth and fourteenth week.Whether the M wave appeared was observed,when the super-stimulation were performed.Results: Axons have entered the remote of nerve from the 6th week after anastomosed graft of nerve,and muscle volume has begun to recover.The CMAP at gastrocnemius muscle belly was detected,after operation 6 weeks.The M-wave was detected in two rats in vitamin therapy group.Although,there was significant difference in both scores of M-wave at 14th week postoperatively,the rats still could not move.Conclusion: Vitamin B1and vitamin B12 can promote growth of nerve h and hasten the growth of α nerve fibers after implanted 6-10 weeks.
