Influence of Compound Glycyrrhizin on Serum TNF-α and IL-6 in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

OBJECTIVE: To study the influence of compound glycyrrhizin on serum TNF-α and IL-6 in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).METHODS: 128 patients with CHB were randomly divided into the control group(conventional liver protectio,n=62) and treatment group(conventional liver protection + compound glycyrrhizin,n=66) to treat for 12 weeks.The serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in those patients were measured before and after treatment.RESULTS: Co_mpared with the control group,liver function of those patients in the treatment group were obviously ameliorated,and the serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 significantly decreased(P0.05).CONCLUSIONS: Compound glycyrrhizin can decrease serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in patients with CHB to protect hepatocyte.
