摘要
Mechanoluminescence (ML) materials, as a class of smart materials, have attracted increasing interest due to potential applications in various fields such as mechanosensors, safety papers, and optical storage. To date, important progresses have been achieved regarding to ML materials, especially ML materials with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) property, considering the discovery that MFC is a common feature of most AIE-active molecules in 2011. In this chapter, we will focus on the developments of AIE-active ML materials from aspects including molecular design, photophysical properties, ML beahviors and ML mechanisms, along with a future outlook. We hope that this chapter will be helpful to attract more researchers devoting themselves to this exciting research area.
