INFLUENCES OF ZINCATE ON CORROSION ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF ZINC IN ALKALINE SOLUTIONS

The influences of zincate on the corrosion electrochemical behavior of zinc in KOH solutions were investigated by the electrochemical methods.The experimental results showed that the corrosion rate of zinc decreased and then increased with increasing the concentration of zincate. An inhibition mechanism of zincate for the corrosion of zinc in the alkaline solutions was proposed.
