Effect of Bacterial Cellulose on Paper Property

Bacterial cellulose is a kind of potential new-type biological fiber materials.The properties of paper made of bacterial cellulose and conventional cellulose fiber were analyzed.The results showed that by proper treatment bacterial cellulose could be made into pulp for paper-making;physical strength of the paper containing part of bacterial cellulose was enhanced dramatically because of the “bridge”formation among the fibers resulting from the bacterial cellulose.
