Abstract An efficient method for mesoporous molecular sieve MCM-41 was introduced in this report. In EDA/TEOS/CTAB/glycerol system, mesoporous molecular sieve MCM-41 has been synthesized at room temperature and under hydrothermal condition, respectively, characterized by X-ray power diffraction and N 2 adsorption. Compared with the samples synthesized under hydrothermal condition, the samples synthesized at room temperature have better order, larger pore diameter and narrower pore diameter distribution.
