摘要
Granuloma annulare is an inflammatory disorder of the dermis characterised by degeneration of collagen. The most common presentation is as localised annular lesions made up of small, firm papules, less common presentations include generalised, papular umbilicated, perforating, linear and subcutaneous types1Jackson M.D. Pratt L. Lawson P. Asymptomatic papules on a child. Perforating granuloma annulare.Arch Dermatol. 2001; 137 (2001 Dec): 1647-1652Crossref PubMed Scopus (9) Google Scholar. Papular umbilicated granuloma annulare is a rare form of this condition, which is usually found in children and tends to be localised and asymptomatic2Lucky A.W. Prose N.S. White W.L. Jorizzo J.L. Papular umbilicated granuloma annulare. A report of four pediatric cases.Arch Dermatol. 1992; 128 (1992 Oct): 1375-1378Crossref PubMed Scopus (32) Google Scholar. We present the case of an 11-year-old caucasian boy with a 3-month history of pruritic papular lesions starting on the buttocks and spreading to involve arms, trunk and legs. On examination he had multiple umbilicated papules at these sites and skin histology was consistent with papular umbilicated granuloma annulare. We discuss the case and review the literature.
