Clinical applicability of otoendoscopy in middle ear surgery a report of 44 cases

Objective To explore the clinical applicability of otoendoscopy in middle ear surgery.Methods 44 cases were included in this study and they were operated on under otoendoscope for surgical treatment of middle ear lesions.The surgical procedures were performed under Storz Monitoring System. Results Tympanoplasty was performed among 24 cases and radical,or modified radical,mastoidectomy was performed among 20 cases.The incision was made under direct vision and all the operating procedures were accomplished more easily.Therefore,all the operations were successful. Conclusion Surgical operating can be done with clear image,simply operating,no hidded area lefe and lower reoccurring rate after surgery under otoendoscope.
