In Order to test the influence of the emotion regulation strategies on the delay of gratification,this study adopts two video clips about different emotional types to stimulate the college students to produce the positive emotion or negative emotions.It compares the effect of using the strategies of cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression under two kinds of emotions on the delay of gratification.Results are as Follows: First,under the positive emotion,the difference in scores is not very obvious between the group of cognitive reappraisal and the group of expressive suppression;Second under the negative emotion,the group of expressive suppression's task that is about the delay of gratification is obviously higher than that of the group of cognitive reappraisal.The conclusion is The strategy of cognitive reappraisal can effectively improve the negative effects of negtive emofions on the representation of the delay of gratification.
