NiCoP/NiCo-LDH Microspheres with Enhanced Water Electrolysis Performances

In recent years, developing renewable energy sources has been an important thing due to the excessive utilization of fossil fuels. The electrolysis of water is an efficient way for the development of green energy owing to its characteristics of energy savings and environmental friendliness. Nevertheless, the poor stability limits the practical application of the catalysts. Several spherical NiCoP/NiCo-LDH catalysts are prepared through electrodeposition techniques. The obtained NiCoP/NiCo-LDH-240 sample possesses 84 mV at 10 mA cm–2 for HER. However, it requires 248 mV at 50 mA cm–2 (OER). The product shows a cycle life of 110 h at 50 mA cm–2 of the two-electrode system.
