Digestion of Shanxi Diasporic Bauxite with Low and Medium Grade through Lime Bayer Process

Diasporic bauxite from shanxi province in China was digested by lime bayer process and digestion conditions were determined. Research results indicated that when adopting lime bayer process for digesting diasporic bauxite, mass ratio of Na 2O/SiO 2 can be under 0.3, Al 2O 3/SiO 2 under 1.5 in red mud and this will contribute to realization of zero emission of red mud produced in the production of alumina.
